Description Summary:
A CDL Class A Truck Driver is desired to join our team full-time. It is required that the candidate have a valid CDL Class A driver’s license. They are required to perform inspections of equipment before and after transport. Drivers must also follow appropriate safety procedures and maintain logs of services on job sites. The CDL Class A Truck Driver usually works under supervision of the CEO and should expect to have some days consisting of long work hours with constant sitting along with frequent standing, lifting, and moving activity. Possible exposure to extreme heat or cold external temperatures, and may be subject to working weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Maneuver tractor and trailers into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned;
- Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes;
- Maintain logs of working hours and site services provided.
- Check the truck to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order;
- Report defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the tractor and/or trailer immediately;
- Secure all equipment for transport, using ropes, blocks, chain, binders, or covers;
- Drive trucks with capacities greater than 3 tons, including tractor-trailer combinations, to transport and deliver products, cranes, or other equipment;
- Obtain receipts or signatures for services when required;
- Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting heavy equipment and wide loads;
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid or performing minor repairs;
- Inspect the load before and after to determine the physical condition;
- Check conditions of trailers after contents have been unloaded to ensure that there has been no damage;
- Read and understand all assignment details to be performed;
- Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate;
- Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption;
- Load and unload trucks, or help others with loading and unloading, operating any special loading related equipment on vehicles and using other equipment as necessary;
- Observe OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations;
- Subject to random D.O.T. drug screens and regulations;
- Maintain a valid commercial driver’s license;
- Obey all traffic laws, including but not limited to: driving within posted speed limits, stopping and looking for traffic at all stop signs, being mindful of other drivers at all times, and eliminating unnecessary distractions while operating trucks;
- Adhere to the company’s dress code;
- Be prompt and courteous to the customer, co-workers, and everyone they interact with;
- Any other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Must be 23 years or older
- Must possess a CDL Class A driver’s license;
- Candidates must have at least 5 years of commercial driving experience
- Possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent;
- Prefer candidates with heavy haul experience;
- Candidates must possess proficient oral and written communication skills, technical skills, and functional skills.
- Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.

Description Summary:
A
Construction Heavy Equipment Operator is an entry level position and is desired
to join our team full-time. It is required that the candidate have experience
operating heavy equipment as they will be responsible for operating the
following equipment: Excavator, High Reach Excavator, Bull Dozer, Track Loader,
Rubber Tire Loader, Skid Steer Loader, etc.
Candidates should also have experience rigging Technics. We are seeking
candidates who are team players, with a “can do” attitude who are willing and
capable of performing spontaneous general labor duties in addition to running
equipment. It is imperative that candidates be responsible individuals who are
committed to caring for and inspecting the equipment with daily diligence. They
are required to perform inspections of equipment before and after projects. Operators
should expect to have some days consisting of long work hours with constant
sitting along with frequent standing, lifting, and moving activity. Possible
exposure to extreme heat or cold external temperatures, and may be subject to
working weekends.
Other Responsibilities:
- Maneuver and operate equipment and ensure that all equipment is properly positioned;
- Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and project specifications;
- Check the equipment to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order;
- Report defects, accidents, and or damage to any equipment immediately;
- Secure all equipment during any transport or while in operation;
- Follow appropriate safety procedures for operating equipment;
- Perform basic maintenance tasks on equipment with direction;
- Able to use follow lazer guided grading instruction
- Read and understand all assignment details to be performed;
- Able to Read/Interpret Construction Plans and Spec's
- Observe OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations;
- Subject to random D.O.T. drug screens and regulations;
- Obey all traffic laws, including but not limited to: driving within posted speed limits, stopping and looking for traffic at all stop signs, being mindful of other drivers at all times, and eliminating unnecessary distractions while operating equipment or while in route to site locations in company vehicles;
- Adhere to the company’s dress code;
- Be prompt and courteous to the customer, co-workers, and everyone you interact with;
- Any other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills,
and Experience:
- Must possess a High School Diploma or GED
- Heavy Equipment Operator: 1 year +
- OSHA 10 hour
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Verifiable operating experience
- Experience in late model equipment preferred
- Take ownership & pride in equipment and company
- Candidates must possess proficient oral and written communication skills, technical skills, and functional skills.
- Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
